Description

Report of the protective reconnaissances in the ancient farms no. 49, 50, 51, 61, 62, 63 and protective excavations of farm no. 66 in the Gerakleyskiy Peninsula. The area where these farmsteads had been located was under modern construction works, so there was a need to continue the study of farming area of Chesronesos exactly in this area of the Gerakleyskiy Peninsula.

The investigated farmsteads are located on sides and bottom of Nizhne-Yukharina Ravine, in the west area of the Gerakleyskiy Poluostrov, relatively far from the sea, that is 1.5-2.0 km from it, except of north-west fences of farmsteads 49, 50, 51, which are related 500 m far from Kamyshovaya Bay.

Despite of thecomplicated lay of the land, all the investigated farmsteads are of the same rectangular shape and have almost equal dimensions, 630х420. All the farmsteads preserve walls from the inner planning; a farmhouse is fixed on farm no. 63. State of preservation of the farms is different. The best preservation is of farm no. 49.

Protective excavations of the plot of land no. 66 were made ecause of the planned siting of a pat of this plot for modern park at the Victory Obelisque.
